The objective is
to prepare students to be health professionals with a
wide range of multiple skills and knowledge to succeed in the
front and
back office environments in most medical or health related
establishments. Administrative duties (front office) include
phone and
greeting skills, filing, transcription, data entry, billing,
coding,
organization, and scheduling appointments. Clinical duties (back
office) may include preparing patients for exams, preparing
basic
laboratory tests, advising patients on medications and special
diets,
and maintaining and sterilizing medical tools and equipment. |
