Information for Faculty
How the Library Can Support Your Class

The Library at Academy College offers subject-specific pathfinders (subject guides) and helpful references for the research paper, such as how to cite sources (using MLA style) and how to evaluate a web site.  The subject guides provide book suggestions, direct access to the best Internet links and access to the e-library (College Access Only).  Please make sure your students are made aware of the Library's web site and the help available there.  Students can also get individual help from the Librarian simply by asking, whenever the Librarian is on duty.

A special Reserves section has materials that may be of use to an entire class on a common assignment (these items do not leave the Library).  Faculty may request items to be added to Reserves at any time during a quarter.  Requests for materials to be purchased and added to the Library's collection are also strongly encouraged.

Use the links below to find more information on the Library's offerings.
